Online seminar-training dedicated to the use of the EBSCO database
On April 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM, an online seminar-training on the EBSCO database was organized at the Information Resource Center of Tashkent State University of Economics. The seminar was held via Zoom and was actively attended by university information resource center staff, researchers, and other interested participants.
The seminar-training was conducted by Irina Serjan, EBSCO’s Client Relations and Cooperation Manager for Russia and the CIS countries. In her presentation, she thoroughly explained the capabilities of the EBSCO database, how to search for information, efficiently and quickly find sources, analyze them, and download them.
The event was also attended by guests — Shodmanova Feruza Turdaliyevna, Head of the Analytical Center of the scientific information service E-line Press, and Eshmetova Yuliya Pavlovna, Executive Director of E-line Press. Together with the center staff, they listened to the seminar and actively participated in the process.
During the seminar, participants were provided with information in the following key areas: – accessing the EBSCO database and creating an account; – effective methods for searching and filtering scholarly articles; – downloading necessary sources and using them with bibliographic management software; – features and new functionalities of the EBSCO interface.
The event was conducted in an interactive format. Participants asked questions of interest and received detailed responses from the experts. The seminar was highly beneficial and helped develop the necessary skills for using the EBSCO platform effectively in academic research.
At the end of the event, participants emphasized the usefulness of regularly organizing such seminars and expressed their gratitude.
